Odalisque after Angelo Asti (1847–1903). Hand painted miniature portrait on porcelain set in a carved wooden frame. Marked “Odaliske Nach Asti” and “Made in Germany”, illegible paper labels on the reverse of the porcelain and kickstand. Otherwise unsigned by the artist.
5” tall, 4” wide
Shows surface wear consistent with age, including nicks and abrasions. The frame has through cracks along both the top and bottom, suggesting it was broken in half and has been repaired. There is a chip to the porcelain on the back, and the porcelain is glued to the frame.
